Bolton Valley

Bolton Valley is a local outdoor climbing area that has a wide range of bouldering and rope climbing for the locals in the surrounding Burlington area to enjoy. This area is maintained and operated by CRAG-VT. The Bolton Dome is a crag that offers multi-pitch, sport, trad, and crack climbing with grades ranging from 5.3 all the way up to 5.12. Bolton also offers a wide variety of bouldering with over 150 boulders in the area. For more information on the routes, beta, access, and general information see the Mountain Project and CRAG-VT links below. While outdoor climbing can be very fun it is also extremely important to acknowledge safety. If you are looking to get outdoors but have little to no experience, you can utilize the guiding services through the Petra Cliffs Mountaineering School or Adventure Spirit Guides. Happy climbing!
