Located in Essex Junction, MetroRock Vermont is an indoor climbing gym that offers a great opportunity for students to connect with the local climbing community. Metro offers bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing, as well as a workout and weight lifting area for members. Day passes and gear rentals can be purchased upon arrival at the gym and yearly/monthly memberships are available for frequent climbers. The Climb Champlain club travels to Metro for free climbing on Wednesdays and Sundays every week. On Wednesdays, the club goes to the gym from 9 am to 11:30 am. Sunday climbing at Metro is from 7 pm to 9:30 pm. If you need transportation to the club events, the club travels in the Champlain vans which leave the Rowell parking lot on Wednesdays at 8:45 am and Sundays at 6:45 pm.
