Mt Philo

Mount Philo is a short and steep mountain in Charlotte, Vermont that offers nice views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. The peak sits at 968 feet above sea level and the hike has about 600 feet of elevation gain in total. In comparison to the larger mountains in the surrounding area, Mount Philo is an easy to moderate hike that is perfect for a shorter day-trip hike. The Western Loop Trail is a 2 mile loop that takes approximately an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes to complete. The hike to summit Mount Philo is located within Mount Philo State Park, which is a nice area for hiking, walking, picnics, and camping.
