Mt Hunger

The Waterbury Trail is a great way to summit Mount Hunger, a local mountain that provides moderate to challenging hiking and beautiful views of Mount Mansfield and the valley from the summit. This hike is a 4.1 mile out and back with over 2000 feet of elevation gain from the trailhead, making it just as steep and challenging as some of the higher peaks in Vermont. If hiking this trail in the winter, microspikes and/or snowshoes will be necessary depending on weather conditions. It is crucial that you check weather reports during all seasons to make sure that you have a safe and enjoyable hike!
