Centennial Woods Natural Area

Centennial Woods is a 70 acre trail system and preservation natural area that can be used for walking and running near the University of Vermont campus. The “Centennial Woods Loop” is a 3.8 mile trail through the wooded area where the local flora and fauna of Vermont can be enjoyed. Centennial Woods is also a lovely place to sit and enjoy a forested area, though activities like walking, running, and hiking are often part of that process! To get there from Champlain’s main campus take Main Street up towards UVM and make a left turn by the Davis Center onto Carrigan Drive, then turn to Catamount Drive where you will arrive at the trailhead. It is easily accessible from campus by walking, driving, or using the bus system.
